Kevin is involved with numerous projects but these are the projects where Kevin is the founder and leader. He runs them all under his company Grits n Gravy.
Rumproller is based on the classic Hammond B3 organ trios of the 1950’s and 1960’s. Blending jazz, gospel, soul and boogaloo, Rumproller takes you from a funky Saturday night juke joint to Sunday morning in church. The amazing Ty Bailie breaths life into the 450lb Hammond Organ which wields the power of of a symphony orchestra. James Achor, original member of swing revival kings, Royal Crown Revue, brings the swing on the guitar.
Rumproller can be seen every Monday at 9pm in Hollywood, CA.

BRASS MONKEY BRASS BAND
Relentless drums, rumbling tuba, and wailing horns…nothing kicks the party into high gear like a smokin’ brass band! Now you don’t have to trek to New Orleans to catch second-line fever – the Bay Area’s own BRASS MONKEY BRASS BAND (BMBB) brings the infectious energy and funky good times to the West Coast and beyond. BMBB is a powerhouse 8-piece in the style of New Orleans’ own Dirty Dozen and Rebirth Brass Band, with the traditional lineup of tuba, saxes, trumpets, trombones, bass drum and snare. BMBB’s wide repertoire ranges from New Orleans classics like “When The Saints Go Marching In” to danceable favorites by a variety of artists from Led Zeppelin to Roger & Zapp, plus their own irrepressibly funky originals.
In 2006, the band was asked to be part of a monumental night at the legendary Hollywood Bowl (Hollywood, CA.). The “New Orleans Night” bill included the long awaited return of the original members of The Meters, The Neville Brothers, and Brass Monkey.

THE DEEP CUTS
The deep soul sounds of Memphis, the funky beats of New Orleans, Chicago blues, and the classic arrangements of Motown and Atlantic Records all come together with The Deep Cuts, a Hollywood based ensemble that brings to life the juke joints, old 45 records, and jukeboxes of the past.
The Deep Cuts is grooving 4-piece rhythm section reminiscent of Booker T and the MG’s or The Meters fronted by the powerhouse vocals of Miss Dawn Bishop. They authentically deliver the B-sides, rare grooves and hidden gems from a time when musicianship, songcraft, and powerful emotions ruled the airwaves. The results will always have you smiling, often have you dancing on the table, and occasionally, crying in your beer.
The Deep Cuts play the SECOND SUNDAY of EVERY MONTH at:
Joe’s Great American Bar & Grill, Inc
4311 W Magnolia Blvd
